Masala is a name for a combination of spices, the main ingredient is turmeric. Everyone has their own masala and can be so different. The also add cumin powder, black cumin powder mustard seed, and it's all powdered.
So my curry chicken contain, olive oil, garlic, cumin seeds, madame Jeanette and of course the masala powder, I always love some chopped cilantro as well.
