Across the street of the 3rd house where I have lived in Suriname, across the street there was an incident late at night, the Chinese guy who had a burglary in his store, shot the thieve. We were not supposed to go look but I was a tomboy and did have a sneak peak, the thieve was on the floor with a small whole in the front and a big whole in the back of his body. Very traumatizing and a story never to forget. This was and still is an upper middle class area.
