Peggy’s Pasta with Pork Chops and Oregano
Servings: 1
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 7-8 minutes
Price: $5 per serving
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients, all organic:
● 1 Cup of Bowtie Pasta
● 1 Pork Chop
● 1 Cup of Veggie Broth
● 1 Cup of Tomato Sauce
● 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
● 1 Teaspoon of Oregano
● 1 Tablespoon of Garlic
● 1 Tablespoon of Basil
● 1 Tablespoon of Grated Parmesan Cheese
Nutritional Fact: Did you know that tomato sauce is a good source of antioxidants and that basil has an anti-inflammatory effect?
Tools:
● 1 Pan, Spatula, tong, silicone spoon, and kitchen scissors
Directions:
1. Cook the pasta in a pot for about 7 minutes, al dente.
2. Now place the pork chop in a pan over a high flame in 1 cup of veggie broth. Add in 1 cup of tomato sauce, 1 teaspoon of oregano, 1 tablespoon of garlic and 1 tablespoon of basil and mix it all together.
3. Cook the pork for about 7-8 minutes. Being a white meat, the pork should be well done before eating. To speed up the process I like to take the pork out of the pan, slice it into smaller pieces so that it cooks faster.
4. When done, add the pasta to the pan with pork and cook together for 1 more minute.
5. Serve on a plate.
